Would you use a 2019 Mac Pro for editing if the price point was lower

If say you had the option of buying a 2019 Mac at 2/3rds the cost of retail would that make a difference in buying a Mac Pro or would this type of machine be too much power for editing.

I don't think you can have too powerful of a machine. I edit on Macs and they are great. If you can swing it and you like the UI, go for it!
