Would you do a YouTuber Workshop?

One of the most important tools in the writing world is the workshop: writers gather to review, discuss, and help improve each others' work through a serious of workshop meetings. My partner does this, and she always gets a lot out of it.

If someone [read: me] organized a handful of creators to do series of workshops, would you do it? What would you expect/hope for out of the experience?

The gist of it, as I imagine, is that the group would make relatively similar content: vloggers and gamers might have separate workshops, for example. Depending on the size of the group, we'd collectively review 2 or 3 people each week, perhaps specific videos, and then make constructive suggestions for the future. Once everyone's been reviewed once, we'd start the cycle over to see if there's been any improvement.

Depending on the size of the group, this could be a 6-12 week commitment. Collaborations and shout-outs would definitely be encouraged during this process, making it beneficial on multiple fronts.

Any interest? Any idea how this workshop might be more effective?

Sounds like a great concept. I used to go to partner meetups where we would discuss, interact, learn, collaborate and more. But unfortunately I haven't received any invitations since I quit YouTube and went to college =( I'm not sure if they are still doing them, but it sounds similar to what you want to do. Only difference is the meetups are in person, this is over the interwebs.

I'd love to be able to participate with it. It'd be cool.
Just do what you can to interlink the community and make it so everyone can benefit from it =)

I think it would be a great concept, gathering all sorts of youtubers from all kinds of channels and backgrounds, what could possibly go wrong? :D

I would certainly be in on something like this.. It would be like a meet up of people from this forum really ;D

Interesting! Who organized the meet-ups? YT itself? I'm waiting patiently for the reopening of their NYC space. I'd love to see how someone else would organize these meet-ups.

Hey that's a great idea, sucks for me no one makes videos where i live

My concept could work either across the internet or in person. I think both options have their advantages. :)

Over the internet sounds good since some countries have this "shell of thinking" they don't get out off, but being in person is cool too since they might actually help you do the thing

Yeah it was YouTube themselves. This was back when they had the YouTube Creator Institute. My roommate was one of the ones selected to go there and he invited me to come to the meetup. It was really a ton of help and got to meet a lot of friends that we are still friends with today =)

YES! This would be a great idea! can we just make this a thing now?

I'm not stopping anyone from doing their own thing, but if I do this I'm going to need a little time to plan it out. If/when it happens I'll let YTTalk know!
