Would I regret quitting?

I've been going steady with youtube for around 2 years. In that time I have had so many awesome experiences and opportunities. Getting sponsored by EA, going to EA studios and meeting real NHL players, getting a video on the front page of TheScore website, getting recognized on the street, and probably so much more that just doesn't come to mind right now. I've always told myself that 100k would be my mountain. Once I climb it and touch the top I could retire as a happy guy and have no regrets when the time came to leave youtube. However right now real life is catching up.. And I dont feel like I can maintain the quality of my videos while running my new business. Not only can I not keep the quality, but im losing the motivation. Obviously this is something we all deal with, and ive battled through it many times in the 2 years. But this time it just feels different.

A part of me wants to say its the end of the road, but another part wants to keep climbing that 100k mountain. I know my old youtube rookie self would slap me right now if I told him I was quitting at 25k subs. He would tell me that it would be a gigantic waste to get a quarter mile and not tough it out. But sitting where I am right now it just feels so far.. So in your opinion, would I regret leaving 3 months down the road? I'll be using my time more effectively with "real life things" and making more money with that time. But it might feel like 2 years wasted. Or maybe 2 years of valuable experience. I dont know.. And as I type this im kind of realizing that you guys probably wont be able to help me as this is an inner battle lol. But any thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks

Honestly, the fact that you reached 25k in 2 years show you have some great potential to grow even further. So the argument that you would make more money with your time if you quit could become debatable. BUT, you need to look at the future, do you see yourself as a fultime youtuber or fulltime running your new business? If you feel like you want this business to succeed but you don't have the time to do so, you should put everything on that and pause youtube for a while. It's a risk, because you will lose your following, but doing half a job on both projects doesn't seem right to me. At least that's what I think :)

That really is a tough scenario. Upon reading your title I was like straight away, "I'm going to tell this guy to keep on going because he'll definitely regret it" but it seems that you've weighed out all the options already. This really is a very tough one and you're right about it being an inner battle. Best of luck with it and hope you feel happy with your decision and that it is fulfilling

you could always make your content less frequent and keep it more as a part time hobby than get rid of it completely, I juggle youtube and a full time job, it can be hard but I enjoy it. As for leaving behing 25k subs id personally hate to have got that far and then just quit.

Starting a new business is a 110% activity, so it may make sense to devote all your energy to it. However, you have put two years into a channel that has given you some success, so perhaps you can cut down on your channel's upload activity while still keeping it going? I'm not sure what your subscribers expect in terms of output, but YouTube, while attractive, is far from a guarantee, so I wouldn't put all my eggs in one basket if you have an opportunity to do something else.

It seems like you already made your decision, but I think maybe you should just try uploading less frequently.

I think I can agree with everyone here, to keep making videos maybe part time or when you can find the time. If you force yourslef to do it when you feel exhausted or unmotivated may take away the joy of making videos. Focus on your job for a while and come back when you have free time, people will understand that you can't upload as frequently.

You got to make up your own mind. If the other business venture has more promise it would make sense to say bye bye to YouTube. If you want to keep it you can too, just upload less.
