Would anyone mind answering some questions for me?

Hey everybody! I am currently writing an article for my blog about YouTube and jobs. I was wondering if any of you would mind answering some questions for me? I would also need your name so I can quote you in my story. Below are the questions i need answered! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

1. Describe YouTube in one word. Why?

2. How useful do you think YouTube is in finding a job?

3. How useful is YouTube to businesses in promoting themselves. Not only through ads but through actual videos as well?

4. How do you think YouTube has impacted our society?

5. What is your opinion on those whose full-time job is making YouTube videos?

6. Would you ever want to make YouTube your full-time job?

7. Why do you watch YouTube and why do you create content for YouTube?
1. Explosion. Every day youtube explodes with creativity, there is no limit to what goes up in any given day. And while you do seem to have to wade through a smoke cloud of mediocrity, there is always a bright red hot center of goodies to explore.

2. I should probably try using it to find one before making a statement. I know this much. Uploading original music and comedy for a year and just hoping for the best has not landed me a job lol

3. Probably pretty useful. Maybe I should have a business and find out hahaha

4. In wonderful and terrible ways. It's amazing because we learn so much about others through youtube. People who thought only they were misfitted in a certain area, find others who are the same kind of misfit. But on the flip side, it has been taken over by greed, and has become a tool for mindless uncreative gets to make money through manipulation and gaming the system. But then again, doesn't every good thing have that potential?

5. My opinion is they should give me a shout out..

6. Let me think about that for a second YES

7. I watch youtube because it's a hell of alot more entertaining than television. TV and mainstream entertainment became so white washed with the same old jokes and the same old plot lines, youtube is one of the few places you can find something truly different, truly expressive, and truly impactful. And I make youtube videos, because I want to be a part of the revolution. THE END.

1. Describe YouTube in one word. Why?
Art. - A video on YouTube is more than just a video. It is someones imagination visualized for the world to see.

2. How useful do you think YouTube is in finding a job?
It can be quite useful if you put your all into it. Making videos on YouTube can even be your job. There have been YouTubers who have been in movies, tv shows, and even world superstars (Justin Bieber).

3. How useful is YouTube to businesses in promoting themselves. Not only through ads but through actual videos as well?
YouTube is the #3 most visited website in the world, so it would make sense for a business to promote themselves here. You are able to put a more visual feel to your business, and people can watch your videos whenever, wherever.

4. How do you think YouTube has impacted our society?
YouTube has impacted our society because it has made it even easier to share with others. You can connect with people with the same interests as you very easily.

5. What is your opinion on those whose full-time job is making YouTube videos?
I think making YouTube a full-time job is every YouTubers dream. Everyone wants a job that they actually love what they do, and if you love making YouTube videos, might as well make a job out of it.

6. Would you ever want to make YouTube your full-time job?
If I ever get to that point in my YouTube career, yes. I love creating videos and sharing with people all over the world.

7. Why do you watch YouTube and why do you create content for YouTube?
I watch YouTube because I enjoy being able to choose what I want to watch whenever I want. There is so many genres of videos on YouTube, there is always something to watch. YouTube bring entertainment to the next level, because so many videos on YouTube would never be on TV. I started to create content because I wanted to give myself a voice. I am a very shy person, and I am not sociable. Because of that it has caused me to have a very small group of friends, a total of about 3. I have watched stories of people who were in the same situation as me, and with YouTube they were able to improve that part of themselves.

1. Describe YouTube in one word. Why?
Exciting. I think YouTube right now is on the brink of crossing into the public eye. Obviously everyone knows about YouTube, there are so many people who don't realize that YouTube is a real entertainment alternative to traditional media with so many great content creators on there. And to me, being able to be a part of that and be waiting when YouTube finally goes "mainstream" is so exciting.

2. How useful do you think YouTube is in finding a job?
I think it's certainly another form of social media that could be helpful when searching for a job. Showcasing your abilities or talents, gaining an audience who will help and support you, and meeting other people are all great stepping stones in finding a job.

3. How useful is YouTube to businesses in promoting themselves. Not only through ads but through actual videos as well?
If done right, YouTube can be extremely successful for businesses. It's hard for a company to come across sincere, but those who do can, get really great results. I think back to when Old Spice did their campaigns on YouTube (not just their commercials), but when they spent the day making live video responses on YouTube. Twitter was blowing up and celebrities were tweeting in questions and the Old Spice man himself would respond. It was a perfect example of a business doing YouTube right.

4. How do you think YouTube has impacted our society?
I think it's been huge, and I also think it's just the tip of the ice-burg. I honestly expect to see some huge changes in the very near future. As John Green said; "YouTube and Television are like two speeding cars headed right at each other, and when they hit, it's going to be a very ugly mess." I couldn't agree more. I see people (especially kids, in our case) subscribing to us and spending more time watching YouTube than TV. That's huge.

5. What is your opinion on those whose full-time job is making YouTube videos?
I think it's awesome. I also think it's going to become more and more common that people can make a living from creating videos. I don't think it's anything secretive or special, I just think it's simply another way that someone can work really hard and fairly get paid for it. As more and more people discover the real YouTube (not just cat videos), I think it will allow more content creators to make a living from YouTube.

6. Would you ever want to make YouTube your full-time job?
Yes, I definitely would. I certainly don't think it's a lifestyle that is for anyone, but the more I've done it, the more I think I would enjoy it if I could make YouTube a full-time job. That being said however, I think most people don't realize the amount of work that really goes into doing YouTube as a full time job. It's hours of writing, hours of shooting, and hours and hours of editing... all alone in your room all by yourself, and doing that every single week on repeat. For me personally, I enjoy the solitude of it and could easily spend hours alone making videos. But I certainly wouldn't recommend it more than a hobby for anyone who couldn't handle that type of workflow.

7. Why do you watch YouTube and why do you create content for YouTube?
I watch YouTube because I feel a personal connection to the people I follow, and really enjoy their content. Most of it makes me laugh (which I like), but some of it is simply thought proving or just plain interesting. And I think I make videos for the same reason. I like getting the chance to be there for someone when they might need a laugh. When I read comments that say that our video made someone smile after a hard day being bullied at school, I always remember that that's why we post these silly little videos every week on our channel.

Hey everybody! I am currently writing an article for my blog about YouTube and jobs. I was wondering if any of you would mind answering some questions for me? Below are the questions I need answered! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've only uploaded videos since last week but thought would chip in as best as I can, in case it's of any help? :) I'm absolutely shattered so apologies if my answers don't make much sense!! I'll do my best!

I would also need your name so I can quote you in my story. Sarah, nice to meet you!

1. Describe YouTube in one word. Why? Inclusive. Anyone can be a part of it and there are videos on there that cover thousands of different topics, there's really something for everybody.

2. How useful do you think YouTube is in finding a job? I think that would be dependent on how much the person promoted the video in question? I can't think of any job type campaigns offhand, maybe I'm misunderstanding the question! There's a makeup artist on there who just started off doing tutorials and she's apparently been hired to work on a TV show or something? But I think that sort of thing might be few and far between- I'm sure there's also a lot of makeup artists on there for instance who have never had work from it.

3. How useful is YouTube to businesses in promoting themselves. Not only through ads but through actual videos as well? As a consumer I'm not convinced that it's too useful. I've seen a lot of videos of dental clinics and medical companies and whatnot promoting themselves but it doesn't exactly make me want to use their services. Most of the time company promotional videos seem to spam search results so I skip them entirely.

4. How do you think YouTube has impacted our society? I think it's made it more personal... it's more personal seeing someone talking about a topic than reading what they've written, that's for sure! I recently watched a video of a lady who said that she doesn't have a huge circle of acquaintances offline, but her commenters and subscribers have almost become friends to her, which I think is really lovely. If folk feel that it has connected them with people in a way that they may not have been able to experience otherwise, what a fab way YouTube can impact society!!

5. What is your opinion on those whose full-time job is making YouTube videos? Good for them, I think it's awesome for them!

6. Would you ever want to make YouTube your full-time job? Geez I really don't know the answer to that! Maybe? Maybe not? I don't know, I think it would have to depend on a lot of different factors!

7. Why do you watch YouTube and why do you create content for YouTube? I watch YouTube because there's so much on there! Some videos are to find out more about hobbies, some videos I just watch for entertainment, some videos are for research... so much on the site!

I hope that's helpful somehow!! Sorry again if my answers sound like gobbledegook! Early night for me I think hahaha :) Good luck with your article!!
