So, last time i posted a video on Youtube was back in 2012 when i had a partnership with MakerStudio and i was back in Italy carrying an Italian YT channel. Since then i was inactive for both lack of time and equipment which prevented me from growing. As a result i deleted the channel.
Now, I will be going to university next year and obviously time will be short and limited for me, however the want to make youtube videos did not go away and now that i have money to get my resources i was thinking will it pay off investing into it? I just need the capture card tbh but even that, it's £100.
I mean, yeah if i want to i can just start a new YT channel, but i have the fear that the channel will not grow, as i'm a gamer who plays a lot go games, but nothing 'new' or 'outside the box' stuff, at least another 200 people are doing it/will do. I mainly play FIFA and i do have series in mind for that, but i also can do walkthroughs of other games, but even that i don't know if it will be worth it as i guess now growing on YT is limited as people will want to follow the likes of RadBrad rather than me or KSI if you know what i mean.
I mean in terms of time, i can manage it and squeeze a video a day for the channel, that's not a problem, this question is more for the pros of youtube in this forum, knowing the current situation and difficulty in growing, do you think my investment of capture card will pay off if i start doing walkthroughs/FIFA videos on a daily basis? My general first aim will be to grow to at least 1k before wanting to get some money out of it, but yeah my end goal is to get some income out of it as for another 4-5 years i will be busy studying.
Advice, and general tips are highly appreciated as upon you guys i will make my decision if to invest or not. Be honest guys
