Movie maker is a blast of the past for me. I remember not having it because I had windows 98 on my first rig. When I got XP on a later PC I started my video editing journey. Then I ran an "aquired" version of the adobe suite when I was a teen. I did lightsaber stuff and had a dream of creating a star wars fan film. It never happened.
When I started my YouTube channel I bought Sony Vegas and ran that for years until I broke down and switched back to adobe. I pay more now obviously, but Adobe is vastly superior to Vegas so it's worth it.
