Will youtube ever get replaced?

It could happen if let's say too much changes were made and a new website came out that was easier to use and had a good base to it

In years to come, maybe. But not any time soon. Every year as more and more kids discover the internet and YouTube, the audience for YouTube videos grows. Not many people just stop watching YouTube either. It appeals to mass audiences. Unless something comes along that becomes the new thing and sort-of beats the internet (like the internet has done with tv, and tv did with radio) and can take a large chunk of YouTubes audience, I'm finding it unlikely that YouTube will be going anywhere. It will still remain relevant though, as it's a medium that many enjoy.

It depends on what you're talking about. For what YouTube offers, I don't believe that anybody will dethrone YouTube for that type of content. Netflix and others may eventually have more more people spending more time on their websites because one view could be a couple hour movie. With YouTube, 24 views could be two hours (24 x 5 minute videos). It all depends on what metric you're talking about.

True. There has been competition before, like Vimeo and such. Heck, Twitch was a pretty big rival, but we all saw how that turned out XD

YouTube is becoming very quickly ingrained in our culture. I don't doubt that it will remain a popular entertainment platform but I do wonder how the future of the YT 'stars' such as Shane Dawson, Joey Graceffa, Jenna Marbles etc will pan out - look how the site has gradually transformed from people merely watching funny videos to investing their time and money in ordinary people.

Replace? Never. A big second-place competitor might eventually come along and be the notYoutube... but Youtube itself isn't going anywhere.

You hear about net neutrality and how the FCC screwed up. They are going to allow big corp set up tier systems. Meaning most of us will be put on slower networks unless we pay more money. Most people won't be able to and guess what, they will stop visiting sites that take up bandwidth because it will be to slow to view. Then youtube and most video site will see a lot lest activity and most youtubers will go out of business. Then tornado and floods and the end of the world.
