Will youtube ever be the same? Haters...

So today we got a reply off a comment we made on another vlog. It was pretty depressing really. He mentioned how there was no point doing Vlogs now because the excitement in watching them has died down. He also said it was impossible to become a big Vlogging channel now adays.

We found this unsettling and demoralising, but it put the reasons for doing Vlogs into perspectives. We aren't doing it for anyone or for money (though it would be nice), we are doing it for ourselves to have fun during summer.

How does everyone else deal with the haters and the trolls? Should we keep going? Or just stop now?

As long as your having fun and you like doing it keep at it
And I know everybody says it but ignore them
Its the best thing to do

Do whatever is fun. I have a series going that averages 1 view or less, but I'm keeping it until the end because it's fun.

Just do it 'cause you want to do it. I had confidence issues in the pass and some comments like this which caused me to make a new youtube channel.

But I regret not biting back and p**s them off by doing what I love, just simply f**k them. You do what you do and you are having fun, you're doing it 'cause you enjoy it and not for the apparent YouTube "fame"

I agree with everybody else. I thought about that for a bit and I've questioned why other people would ever want to see my vlogs but just a few days ago, I decided to rather make it for the memories so in a couple of years time, I can relive what I made or where I went. :)

Well first off I'd like to point out that is most definitely not a troll or a hater. That's a person just giving an opinion you didn't enjoy hearing. Haters HATE you, and trolls don't even necessarily hate you, they want to poke at your feelings and see how you react, and if you react without getting angry or lashing out at them often times they then decide you're pretty cool and may even subscribe to you.

Secondly they have somewhat of a point to a degree. Watching other people's lives, I think that's dying down. There was excitement at first cause with youtube we could see into the lives of others and see a reality we weren't familiar with and relate or not relate. I think now we've seen so many people's lives that we're not that interested in that and youtube is moving more toward television quality entertainment.

That said, get your vlogs to that level of entertainment, make amazing points, make them exciting or hysterical, and that will never get old, that type of entertainment is what people have always enjoyed.
