They removed the option to apply for verification. What it is now is that they will verify you when they feel you have met their requirements, which of course are completely unclear because it's Google. I've seen people with less than 2k subs get verification. For example: (youtube[dot]com)/TheRyanLamont
He has 1.9k followers on G+ though, which explains it. Subs do not matter anymore, it's all about G+ now.

They got back to me, after 2 days of waiting, about my remark on Uberdanger's recent verification.
Guess what?
"Thanks for your email. We will send a request to YouTube for you.
Please send us the link to your channel to make sure it's the right one."
... I just.

Will do. They said the process should take 4-6 weeks, which I guess is understandable.
What I find interesting is that they only decided to listen to me the moment I sent in an unpartnership request. :v
I sent one in about a day ago, and just out of the blue today this ticket gets updated. Convenient. :b

Yup, many are like that too. They don't care until you reach the final straw and get tough with them, though most wouldn't dare do that to a channel of your size.. that's really bad.
