Any advice or techniques to get over the 100 subscribers hump? I've been stuck on 85 for almost 2 years. I recently started s Vlogging channel to see if I get more subs on that one.
There's a guy on youtube that I've just started using and I like some of his ideas, "Video creators" he had a good video on thumbnails, banners, and your front page on how to convert view to subscribers, it might help you out a bit.
The only advice I see repeated time and time again when people question why they're not growing very fast is: be patient. If you keep making good, quality videos, you'll end up growing.
Promote your videos more. Where do you promote or where would you if you did? Views are more important, some subscribers will appear when you get some more views.
I'm only new to YouTube I have 40 subs. But honestly that doesn't bother me I just want to make fun videos with my son and family and share our videos and if people like them that's just a bonus
Hope things start to pick up for you mate good luck
There's plenty of threads on this forum giving advice on this subject. Post videos regularly, have catchy thumbnails and titles, tag your videos correctly, etc. Look at the sticky threads in this forum section. Good luck.
This, don't expect to grow if you haven't uploaded in months. YouTube isn't something where you just make one good video and then leave it and come back in 10 years to find yourself with millions of subs. You have to constantly be uploading new content. It's like a TV show, every time there's a break between seasons, people get caught up with other shows and completely forget all about that show for a while - the only reason you usually remember about the show is because someone else mentions it, or because of all the massive advertisement they do before the next season is out. You have neither of those things, so you need to be consistent and upload regularly if you want to grow.
You should be posting at least 2-3 videos a month, ideally at least 1-2 a week if you can, or more if you have the time. You will not grow if you upload as infrequently as you have.
I just hit 200 subs this morning and my channel is only 3 months old - and my growth wasn't even that fast compared to a lot of people here - why do I have more than double your subs in only a fraction of the time? Because I upload at least 2 videos a week, so people actually have a reason to subscribe.
The whole point of subscribing is so you can be updated with new videos. If someone sees you haven't uploaded in 4 months, they'll think you've given up with YouTube so there's no point subscribing.
