Will a serious YouTube competitor ever appear?

Now the real question is. Will youtube ever be replaced on what we know as the internet? Or will it stay forever powerful like the Network channels on TV just for the internet? I think so. Just that when the next invention for interaction comes along there will be another Youtube of its medium.

I think if Youtube ever gets replaced it will still be by something like Youtube 2.0 or something else from the very same company anyway. I just don't see it suddenly ending anytime soon. Nor do I see stuff like blip or whatever somehow overtaking it.

It would probably be worth their time. A video sharing website can bring a lot of profit if the initial investment and advertising is large enough to attract users. Even Dailymotion, which is hardly ever visited, hasn't run out of business, which means that the owners are probably earning enough for themselves to make it worth their time.
