Why You Make Videos

I've been playing the guitar for a long time and after I saw so many awesome guitarists / cover artists on YouTube I was like "why not give it a shot?". :) And for me being motivated is not that hard at all because I play the guitar everyday and apart from that I get so many encouraging comments - seeing someone calling me their "guitarist idol" or "main inspiration" brings tears to my eyes. ^^
 
For many reasons:
Watching more gamers on YouTube than I do watch TV for a start

I love gaming anyway, so why not turn it into a hobby seeing as I am no good at sports or have found any skills I have in anything as of yet :L

To increase my confidence

To try to entertain, if I had just one person who loved my videos and I made laugh then I would be more than happy with the time I put into my videos (even though they dont look like it) :P

I feel the same way :) I was meant to make music..and now I have a way to share it with the world, as I never had before when growing up. I enjoy acting in my videos. I like dressing up, and challenging myself. I don't have much to work with, equipment and location wise...so I just try and work with what I got. If I had more I'd do more.
I'm a mother of 3 and acting in videos is just....an outlet. A different way to be creative I guess.

That's how I'm seeing it now, not just making vids.

It's turned out to be a lot more fun than planned.
 
Because I like designing things and manipulate photos, thru youtube I can connect with other people that like doing the same thing. As a bonus you can make some extra $, I think everyone here dream of earning his existence from doing youtube videos.
 
Watched some youtubers play video games and thought why not give it a shot, and so I did, and I didn't think I would enjoy it this much.
 
I just love to teach! It gives me a great satisfaction and is rewarding to me when I see I've made a difference to someone else.
