Why the new layout doesn't matter

I think you all are overly-concerned about the new layout, thinking it will hurt your viewership or something. In reality, your videos are all that matter, and they should speak for themselves. If not being able to have a background will ruin your channel, I'm sorry but you're doing it wrong.
 
I agree. I don't really understand the idea that people will stop watching your videos because the layout of your channel as changed. However I can understand why partners with banners that usually have links in them are a bit bummed if they're unable to do that as it may change the traffic to those websites etc. I guess though if your fan base is dedicated enough it doesn't really matter where the links are placed. Lol.

So yeah, for the average Jo I don't really see the big deal.
 
Completely agree! & Yeah, the new layout matters for designers but you can still make banners? So it's not that big of a deal.

So, of the old layout I could charge 5-8$ , now I can charge about 4$ if I design a logo and then include that in the banner.
I do , do other things I design logos and website concepts for 99designs.com

It also sucks that I`m now the content manager for Vultra Designs and now there isn`t going to be as much designers because backgrounds were a key part of designers on Youtube :(
 
Not going to lie, it never actually occurred to me before joining this website that people actually make money from designing YouTube backgrounds etc. I wouldn't have imagined that there would be much of a call for it. Now I'm curious as to how much money a good graphics designer makes via YouTubers.
 
its gonna affect the designers no doubt(thank god im not one lol) and as far as the views go no one will really know how its gonna help/hurt them until they get it

~15$ a day for me and there`s alot in it, good branding will take like a hour.
