I don't know. I like the look so I wear them, just not in videos.
I can respect that, im sure you look lovely in them.

I used to have glasses like yours, and then they broke. >_> My new ones are less noticeable and more... I guess skinny is the best way to describe it.
I should wear my glasses on camera. I like the geeky look, because that's pretty much me.
Yah agreed if you like the look you should wear them whenever you want

[DOUBLEPOST=1405049342][/DOUBLEPOST]
Maybe for some but definitely not swag for everyone lol[DOUBLEPOST=1405049449][/DOUBLEPOST]
I suppose it's just like you said, they're trendy at the moment. I do like the glasses you habe and I like when I see people with them. Stylist but still understated.
Thanks, i think most people look alright with them but some look kinda ridiculous lol[DOUBLEPOST=1405049619][/DOUBLEPOST]
I wore glasses like that before it was cool.
Thats it then you started it lol well if not then you had a part in it! The real O.G's

It's definitely not just a Youtuber thing, that particular style of glasses is just what's popular lately.
I recently bought new glasses and that style and the variations of it were pretty much the only thing available in the men's section of the store I went to.
Personally I think it's a good look
Yah definitely a great look for some. I just started realizing the popularity online and i guess i dont get out of the house very much to notice its a thing in the real world as well lol.[DOUBLEPOST=1405049973][/DOUBLEPOST]
I am a hipster because I ate my soup before it was cool
Soup is the bomb, good job lol

[DOUBLEPOST=1405050281][/DOUBLEPOST]
I guess theyre in fashion right now, I remember them style glasses being called "geeky", its funny how things change over the years, next year everyone will be wearing Naf Naf jackets and wearing Kappa trainers again
Hey im all for seeing that lol. People have had worse things trending than the geek look before so we will see.

[DOUBLEPOST=1405050423][/DOUBLEPOST]
I'm waiting for the day when we can all wear cloaks again. I love a good cloak.
A good cloak and maybe a hat like Sherlock Holmes was always portrayed wearing, now that would be the look!

[DOUBLEPOST=1405050521][/DOUBLEPOST]
Dont be afraid to be the first
I always wanted a Crombie coat me but I dont think I would look right in one at my size.
They look so smart especially with a nice white shirt under them.
Oh come on Michael give it a try i got your back buddy

[DOUBLEPOST=1405050755][/DOUBLEPOST]
It's called nerd-chic. I think, but don't quote me here, Chris Pirillo was one of the first. He wore this type of glasses back in the TechTV days, this pre-dates YouTube BTW. But ya this isn't a YouTube thing.
Yah i bet he was one of the first to really get it going, i do however see it trending on YouTube though, but i get that it probably didn't start there so thanks for that, good info

Fashion, they try and go for the whole "Nerd" look despite the fact they are from from nerds. Its stupid and I dislike the fact that some people do this but I do like the glasses. If they actually wear glasses and bought the design fair enough but there are a lot of YouTubers who dont wear glasses and wear these for the sheer fashion.
Yah i tend to get a bit annoyed when i see someone wearing them and then notice there arent even lenses in them, i mean come on at least get them with the glasses complete ya know lol. The ones i wear i like much better than the larger more i guess Buddy Holly styleones i see others wearing, these suit me just fine.

As someone who works in the glasses industry, yea the larger darker frames are in at the moment. Largely thanks to Ray-Ban. I wear specs because i walk into things if I don't.
Nice an inside man to shed light on this, thanks for sharing and i can barely walk around comfortable without mine so i feel ya there. Keep em on and protect that noggin lol

I remember seeing pictures of my parents in the 80s with giant glasses, and saying "those were IN STYLE? Are you SURE?"
Sure enough, everyone is wearing "hipster glasses" these days. How ironic.
Funny ive got pictures of my mother with some HUGE glasses on, i always have a laugh at that when i see it!
