Why the big black glasses YouTubers??

Im a Youtuber and i myself wear black eye glasses but mine are 1st prescription and 2cnd not the trendy big buddy holly glasses that im seeing more and more YouTubers wearing these days. Did i miss something? How come this look is so popular? Is it because of some famous YouTuber who wears them so every one thinks hey i'll wear them and that'll be my golden ticket to stardom?? To each their own and in no way am i making fun of anyone hear, i genuinely am curious about this! Anybody that feels like sharing your thoughts on this id love to hear from you and thanks for reading

It's definitely not just a Youtuber thing, that particular style of glasses is just what's popular lately.
I recently bought new glasses and that style and the variations of it were pretty much the only thing available in the men's section of the store I went to.
Personally I think it's a good look
