Why is this video's earnings so low?

The weird part is that I also posted a similar video to this a few days back, and I was getting $2 per 1000 views, yet the average watch duration was only 1 minute.
 
You can never exactly what a video will make... It depends on so many factors... $17 isn't low enough to think something is wrong.

Was the low-paid video's shorter or longer than the others? It all depends on who viewed it,many factors as users with adblock,how long the viewed it,where was it from and the ads displayed on the videos
 
It was 5 minutes long and the average view duration was 3 minutes, while my video with little over a $1 cpm was 10 minutes long and the average view duration was around 3:30. I don't think the view duration matters that much, because I had a similar video with a 1 minute average view duration and I was getting $2 per 1000 views.
 
Probably just got unlucky with adblockers and skipping ads. I heard people make anywhere between 0.5 to 2 dollars per 1k views.
 
Hi @NicsterV Let's you check in again Analystic see date. Why U earn 17$ now cuz YouTube have delay few day it's mean YouTube just start collect 1st time you upload how many views and that u earn.

ex: I upload today and I get 10k views today YouTube not collect data for today my upload cuz in analystic they are just collect from 1 to 4 Agust. so they will collect for you next time.

I have no clue how any of this works. I post a video and get more views and less revenue and vice versa all the time.
