Yes also youtube's logic of the "big stay big and small stay small"Yeah I think it was a combination of him being one of the first big gaming channels and being on YouTube in the early days. I don’t watch gaming channels so I can’t comment on if his videos are particularity good or not.
I do think though, that some channels can get to a point where people are more likely to subscribe just because of how many subscribers that channel already has. For example, I think more people (generally speaking) are likely to subscribe to a channel with over 1 million subscribers than they are to a channel with 1000 or so. Would anyone else agree with that?
In case no one noticed, youtube's subscriptions do have an order, no not the first channel you subscribed to that takes first place, but the channel with the most subscribers
For an example subscribe to me (13 subs) then sub smosh (17M) then nigahiga (11M) then pewdiepie (25M) or you can just re order it as you like.
You will notice pewdiepie will always be number 1 whatever you do.
I don't really understand why youtube promotes a channel with a huge gap between it and the #2 channel, pewdiepie already has a monstrous subscriber gain.
