Why is my banner getting cropped?

My banner canvas is much bigger than what you see on YouTube. This is for TV and other devices. Most important things must be visible in the middle, that will appear on your YouTube channel.
 
Try using a YouTube banner template. I’ve had that happen to me many times. It’s all about trial and error I created my banner so many times I lost count.
