Why is Minecraft so big on YouTube?

I've Got It
Now before people say "minecraft is soo huge, everybody plays it" listen to what I'm actually saying.
So I start with the fact I like and play minecraft so this is not a thread of me saying that minecraft is a bad game at all! so many people play minecraft on youtube that its pretty much saturated with content, for small minecraft channels it must be hard to get noticed and be a tough deal fighting to get anywhere on the search bar.

Is it the fact that minecraft runs on any PC and is easy to produce ( size of files when recording compared to other games)

Whats your thoughts?

lol Minecraft won't run on any PC, it's very demanding on CPU and RAM for generation, it's actually the most laggy game on m PC out of it, Crysis 3 and Battlefield 3.
 
Well it definitely depends on the person, but one good reason is you can monetize mincraft content no prob, where as other pretty popular titles (mainly Triple A) you can't. Also some might do it because they enjoy it, or (and hopefully ) they want to put their own twist to a map or challenge/game type they made up.
 
I would probably say that it's because people see all these famous Minecraft YouTubers, and they think they're going to get famous on it.

Well this is awkward. I don't think I'll get famous. It's just, I like Minecraft and right now my PC is so poop it cannot handle much else.

Indeed, so many kids like 9 years old see someone big who does Minecraft and they do it. Oh well, its saturated but once you get your name out there you can do well.

Edit: the hundreds of thousands of brainless children who blinds for all awesome indie games out there, only playing "mein kraft"
 
Because it's a game that allows a lot of creative freedom and is very open to doing whatever you want in.

If you can run Minecraft with a HD texture pack, the most demanding shaders and ultrafar render distance, give NASA a call, because you nicked their computer and they need it back.
