Why Do You Make Videos?

I don't really buy the "It's not about the money" thing. Most people monetize their videos, so it is at least in part about the money. If it was all about building a community you wouldn't monetize and videos as it's only a hassle for your viewers. I also don't understand why people frown on people trying to do it for the money, as long as they realize it's not easy and they wont make it overnight I don't see any problem with people trying to make a living from youtube.

Well 7 years ago I was like " Want to be famous!" (sadly that mentality still exists in many other youtubers) but now a days its "I just like learning new techniques that I can use to entertain any who wish to give my channel a try"

i love doing it plus its going to do wonders for my acting career once my channel gets more popular youtube is just addicting in its entirety even when ive want to quit i always find myself coming back.

I, personally started it thinking "I play games all the time anyway. Why not record it and upload it on YT" I was good with editing anyway so I just started doing it.
Audience feedback and rising view count motivates me to continue PLUS I get paid to buy me cookies

My main reason is due to the fun of making a video and it's a great outlet for creativity.

My secondary reason is that it should hopefully be advantageous to me in my professional career as a journalist to be able to shoot/edit video and be able to prove I can run a YouTube channel.
