Why do the majority of the people on here barely have subscribers?

Pretty much what most people said here, and yeah YTTalk is not just promoting videos, but also helping each other understand how to improve our content in general, get suggestions, and of course, a congregation for all YouTubers to interact with each other.

i just recently joined YTTALK and it seems that the people that have the most cash on here and the most posted threads and they have alot of numbers on them, whenever I click on there youtube channel they only have like 100 or less subscribers...sometimes more but never above 1,000. Is this forum for beginners? If so why don't I see anybody growing? Is it pointless? I'm trying to grow my channel cuz I just reached 217 and I wondering is this the place to do it?

Okay this is my two cents:

1. Larger YouTubers (100,000 subs+), whilst they need to work on their networking, don't need it as much as a newcomer or a long-term smaller channel. So they are less likely to sign up to a forum to aid themselves.

2. Larger YouTubers (save but a rare few) don't feel the need to mingle with smaller channel people. We have a few members here who are big (we have iJustine, for one) but she has never posted and likely never will. We've had one or two larger 'Tubers who posted once and never came back.

2a. The above has nothing to do with the fact that they are off working on their channels. It's just common knowledge that larger YouTubers can't be bothered to mingle (or even associate/speak with) smaller ones, which leaves all the smaller ones in a group on the forum.

3. If you think it's pointless, then why are you here? I don't say that to argue, but seriously. This forum's not a promo forum (it has a promotional privilege offered to those who are active enough, and I speak from experience in the past that forum activity = views and subs). If you go to a forum expecting to grow people have to know you. Sure that's a bit clique-y but hey, that's life. People also have to like you. So if you're here to promote and grow only, then perhaps you're better off with reddit or facebook etc.

4. ALL of the larger Tubers (10k and above) were large before they got here. They're not large because they're here. And those here who have grown quickly have done so because of external reasons like famous Tubers have retweeted their link, or featured them or whatever.

I think most people on YTT are small because big youtubers already have an established audience and have no need to promote their videos to others - their promotion comes from the YouTube search bar. Besides that, people on here are trying to build a community to help each other while big youtubers have no incentive to build a network of channels because their growth is dependent on their Title, thumbnail, description, and tags. Other than that they don't get much from "feedback from their peers" like most of us do.

Dude. I thought that guy meant he was "done trying to figure this question out" Or like "I'm done talking for now". No I think he meant "Oh you guys aren't experts on how to get huge overnight? Ok I'm outta here".

I came here initially to grow but after awhile everyone kinda grows on you and its not a promotional site anymore, its a community of friends offering help, tips, and friendship. Yttalk isn't just a place for youtube help though but a lot of personal issues are helped and solved on here. We are all a big family :D

This site is way more than promotion, who wants views and subs (well everyone but besides the point...) You want to get some good relationships growing, i have met so many people on here and i am so grateful for that. If you stay positive and give other people support, they will support you back. It's a way of giving back really. Seeing people grow on here is the best thing ever though. I've gone from 997 subscribers in january when i joined to 2,482 subscribers. I love seeing people growing as a community, this isn't the site for you if thats all you want. Yes you will get more attention to your videos but you won't get to have every member on here subscribe even though that would be insanely cool!

......I like soup....do you like soup? This is my contribution to the post of silly.
I mean, why are so many people here not millionaires?

I joined mainly to get to know fellow Youtubers and check out different content, cause i'm cool like that. :thumbsup2:
I didn't join for promotional purposes yet i'm happy to say i do have a few people who've enjoyed some of the things i do, and my partners are helping out others in an artistic/graphical sense with people's channels.

So, it's all going good, and i find it a lot of fun here. Something to do while unwinding!
