Why do some people buy subs, its crazy.

Yeah, at the time I was making stop motion with lego (brickfilms)

They were only okay. :)

well if the get 20k subs and only having 10-15 views on videos then they are doing it wrong (Aka noobs). Buying views comes along with buying subs. it is a good way to show off and some say it is a good way to get more subscribers also (Real subs)... Do you remember the scandal that some artists were buying views for their videos? i mean, big renowned artists....

Anyway, used to be easy before to collect good benefits by doing that, not so much anymore but it is a practice still going very strong.... a quick look around blackhat foruns will show you that.

I find it a bit sad, as you're being dishonest to yourself more than anything. I'd rather know that every single person who's subscribed to me, did it out of genuine interest. Rather than because I paid them to! I don't even personally ask my friends/family to subscribe to me ha! I just put my channel out there and if anyone wants to, they can subscribe.

Every time I approach the end of the next 1000 subscribers, I get a massive influx of people hitting the sub button.... sometimes up to 300 for the day. So people do hit Subscribe just because you have a good sub count.

The people buying/selling subs are know as "Black Hat Marketers". Basically, they lie, cheat and steal to get ahead of the pack.

Me and my friend use to have a duo channel where we got around 600 subscribers after a year. Our other friend who was jealous of this number brought 1000 subscribers and bragged about how he had more. Unfortunately for him, we were unable to make anymore videos together so he wasted his money as we were no longer 'competition' to him.

stats are huge to creators, sometimes I let it get to my head (e.g. why aren't I growing as fast as A B and C??) so I can understand why people can get frustrated... but buying views/subs isn't worth it if you get caught. You can also "buy views" through Adsense campaigns but I don't think it's worth it either.

I prefer to use adwords to get my views up there. It's actually worth doing it. Since you'd get a headstart from it.[DOUBLEPOST=1442017293,1442017217][/DOUBLEPOST]

For small channels, I do think it's worth trying the minimum payout. I tried doing $5 before and got 3K views. Minimum deposit is $15, so I tried it on 3 different videos and got the same result. (Previous channel)

I'll be trying this month how it fared on my new channel though.

I just really dont understand, you can see the people that do it, i bet you have seen a channel with like 20,000 subs and like 7 views on videos. i suppose being a success on youtube takes time and with each video you find yourself and your channel develops along the way, you cant buy success people stop it lol :)

stu
I never understood that either tbh they must truly believe that there subs they buy are real smh
