Why do so many people fall into this trap?

Sub4Sub webistes and other similar subscriber boosting websites.

I don't understand how anyone can want to use this service. Surely anyone with a brain can work out that any real subs you get from these sites that are not bots are only there so other people will subscribe to them and aren't remotely interested in your videos.

Therefore you get subs... but no views, comments, likes or favorites which are surely the most important things.
I know I'll never use it, I would rather have a handful of subs who like my content than a million who don't like or watch any of my videos.

It's not that I consider myself 'above' that sort of thing. It's just, surely its pointless really?

it is absolutely pointless you only get subs which dont realise what yoru channel is or what its about. i would never use it!

Thanks for the link, I can see how it MIGHT benefit you in the sense that if people see you have alot of subs they are more likely to sub themselves. Even still though I think that to use this service is basically admitting to yourself that you don't think your content is good enough to get real subscribers, no?

Once you start thinking like that, IMO you wont make as good content due to lack of confidence in yourself.
