Why Do People Fail In Youtube

I go by that almost 75% of youtube videos are garbage.

People do the same thing, try the same formula, and push out content that is so overdone it's almost cancerous.
Then they get burnt out and quit.

YouTube is over-saturated and that is what makes people quit.

This is not like 2009 where you could post a video of you and your friends playing games and it garners thousands of views.

Now a lot of people can't even hit 100 views and it sucks but

If you are not the next PewDiePie or Markiplier your chances are pretty slim at the get go.

I think people fail because they take it too seriously. They spend days recording, editing and uploading a video and they expect their hard work to instantly pay off, then it doesn't and then they quit.

My theory from the start was that I was going to upload one video a week, I only spend an hour tops editing and uploading and promote on relevant forums when I get chance. A really relaxed approach to it all as I have a full time job away from YouTube and a family and cannot spend hours doing it so for me it's just a hobby when I get chance. This approach seems to be working, I'm not stressed about my channel or worried and in 13 months I have gained 1.3k sub's and well over a quarter of a million views :)

I agree with a lot of these responses. If you're not ready to deal with the tough, uphill climb, then you're probably going to fail. Plain and simple. YouTube is a lot of hard work, and not everyone is prepared to put in that work.

I think that the reason that a lot of people fail is because they aren't in it for the long haul. They go into YouTube expecting so much so soon and when these high visions aren't met their motivation fizzles out almost instantly. Everything good takes time and YouTube is definitely one of these things :)

Unrealistic hopes Now I don't mean saying you will become big on YT is bad or unrealistic. I mean people that thing they will go viral over night right away is. You should set small goals for when you start and each month get bigger with the said goals. YT is a lot like Hollywood. Most of the big names started very small and had to work up to be big.[DOUBLEPOST=1458906856,1458906710][/DOUBLEPOST]

Unless you are an egotistical raptor and a Jewish superhero. (Hopefully someone gets the joke here XD)
