Why do people do this?

You spend hours recording, editing and uploading a video, you make an awesome thumbnail for it, you think up all the keywords you possibly can, you sit back and admire your work... then someone comes along and dislikes your video, one minute after it has been published which means they couldn't possibly have watched it...

Seriously, why do people do this? It's bad enough that they troll in the comments section where everyone can see them, but to leave a dislike on a video they didn't even watch, and the owner can't even ask why because they don't know who left it... uh, makes me sad.

Sorry, I had to get that off my chest, seems someone really doesn't like me or my videos because it constantly happens a few minutes after I upload...

I know someone who in IRL who dislikes my videos. There is a trend where if I share my newest video on facebook, within a few minutes I get 2 dislikes. If I don't share it, it doesn't happen. It makes me sad that someone I know is targeting me but then again...let them hate. I'm proud of what I've done so far.

I for sure appreciate getting honesty from friends but someone who silently down votes all your videos is not helping. I'm really glad you were able to learn from your friends and become better for it. Being able to take critiques is a mark of being successful.

it's like the Rebecca black video Friday. Why bother clicking it just to click thumbs downs or hate on it? Even if you like her or not you shouldn't be going to a video or searching it just to hate on it. Another example if those stupid people that comment on disney songs "This song is so stupid. Disney is Stupid." Well the only way to find that videos is if you had searched Disney

Wow, thanks for all the replies guys and girls! Sorry, I have been here and there the last couple of days and haven't had a lot of time to sit down and read the comments but I've done so now.

Thank you all for the advice and sharing your experience with the internet trolls, I've had a couple more dislikes since then but now it's just water off a duck's back for me - and that's thanks to you fellas making me feel better about it!

And as you say, 'haters gonna hate'.. *puts on sunglasses and struts off*.
