Why do people bad mouth freedom so much?

Because most of their promises are lies, as simple as that. They attract people with 110% and no lock contract, free GFX/VFX ...etc when actually the revshare will always be 60% unless you have a channel that gets thousands of views per day, not to mention their points system which doesn't even work and the 30 days lock. For the free GFX, they choose 10 designers every month, around 4 of them do requests for free, there are like 1000 request per week, do you think you will actually get a free banner or intro for free? No, they will do the paying requests then take 3 or 4 free requests. Everything in the dashboard is bugged, the only thing that works in it are the promotions of their network (their apps, news). The only good thing about Freedom is the support.

I won't say it's a scam because it's not, but it's a honeyed trap, let's call it that. They get a lot of small channels together and get revenue off them. No matter how small, multiply that by a million and you get a decent percent out of that. What they offer is something you can do on your own. Nothing new. They don't offer anything to help you grow. And unlinking from them takes a ridiculous amount of time.
 
I joined freedom and I met a guy who did my logo, and intro, and some of my thumbnails which I paid for but he's good. They also offer free training videos which have helped me out a good bit but it seems like that may be short lived since there are only a set amount of training videos. The best part about freedom in my opinion is the free audio tracks that you have access to where freedom made deals with the artist who allow you to monetize videos with their music. I haven't tried to increase my revenue since I'm only making like .50 cents right now but as soon as I joined they gave me 200 points to use because of my success I had on my channel right before I joined. The thing about freedom is it seems like there just getting started because a lot of there features are still in beta. They just got a new list of free to use artist with no copyright protection like two days ago.
 
Here is my experience. Freedom is great if you just started your channel. I got partnered super fast. They help you grow by giving advice (same as Youtube Creators Academy) and by doing channel spotlight, where they review your channel. Other than that you can advertise yourself on their forum with 61,011 members (as of today). As for revenue sharing it's 60/40, but I even got payment for less than 1$. And no fees towards Paypal. They pay the fees, you get the full amount owed. Payment is delayed two months. For example July is paid in September. Everyone is very helpful if you behave nicely and ask nicely. Until my channel grows bigger, I will stick with them.
 
Also because their referals keep spamming the hell out of YT channel inboxes with their templated messages.
The most spam i get is with Freedom links

This is honestly my reasoning for not liking Freedom besides the amount of people who were with them telling me that what they advertise is false.

I've gotten so many spam messages from Freedom, the same template it gets annoying, the worst is when the template has misspellings and just errors in general. If you're going to spam people at least make it look somewhat professional.
 
They know about this. George, the CEO, keeps telling people not to spam, be polite, don't beg, etc. I think most of them are kids, thus the nonsense. I strongly disagree with this practice as well. Spammer should be reported on the Freedom forums or to moderators on social media.
