Why did you UnSub?

I think it would be a good way for content creators to understand why their audience rises and falls.

Personally, all my unsub messages to people would be 'I don't watch your content anymore and all your videos are making my feed messy,'

I'd be interested to see what number are systems scrubs, deactivations, and people who accidentally clicked sub and immediately unsubbed.
As for the rest, I assume it's because they don't watch the content any more.
Sometimes I get into something for a while but then burn out on it.
That last one... lol why would .. ok. I agree a little counter that says how many you lost from a scrub or how many are deactive/inactive accounts would also be a welcome edition.
Well most people do assume just that, but then you keep loosing subs or views and your put into guessing mode, this will help ease that.

I'm pretty positive not every single person comments on videos. The view count to comment ratio is skewed
That is true, i mean most who are active would comment, hopefully. Most are probably just curious.

good idea, its realistically never going to happen though :)
You have to believe Fibby, you have to believe!

Could they add a "You're stopping me from world domination" option?
Yes, of course.

But I suppose so, learning how to improve myself from lost business wouldn't be too bad.

As long as they're gentle ^^

By requiring a reason to unsub, you're essentially making it more difficult to unsub-which will actually make more people stay subscribed without watching any of your content. It's a very bad idea.

I know some sites have it set as optional, you don't need to provide a reason. But true, the setting now is pretty easy to click and leave.

I never said it was required, though I can see where you got confused. The entire reason to unsub is completly optional, the write-in reason is another option on top of that. Though you did give an interesting point, some may not want to go through the extra second to click 'no thanks' or whatever the case may be. Maybe a set up where you unsub without interference and there is a page where you can go to later if interested?
