Why did YOU start making YouTube videos?

My dream is to be a rapper. Back when I was young I saw folks like D-Pryde uploading songs to YouTube and KILLING IT so I started as well. But because I was weak at the time I didn't get much popularity. Also, because I never had constant internet access back at home I couldn't upload videos on a regular basis. Eventually people told me I should start doing comedy on YouTube so once I got into university I reckoned "Heck, why not?" So I started making videos. Now I wanna make YouTube a big part of my life. Comedy and music, I want both to grow immensely and help me achieve that dream I have :)

I was always watching other people do LP's and just came to the realization that "This looks really fun, I'm already playing video games so why not record them as well?"
Also next year I'll be going to college for Digital Media and this is a nice way of getting familiar with audio/video editing since I've never really done anything with it before ^_^.

I've always loved to watch covers on YouTube, for me it's just so impressive to see how people reimagine certain songs. And I was like, "Why not give it a shot?" so I began uploading my covers. :)

Ahh well good for you man, goes to show a passion is always worth following.[DOUBLEPOST=1368555098,1368555019][/DOUBLEPOST]Ahh well good for you 2 aswell, nice to see people continuing what they love and sharing that with other people! beauty of YouTube really!

After seeing MrTechnicalDifficult on youtube and seeing how successful he is, I figured I should do my 'character' on Omegle and put it up on Youtube and see what happens.

Always been shy so I thought I would push myself out of my comfort zone, and practice with film/media as it's something I'm looking into as a career,
and to be honest I was really bored.

I started making videos because I have a voice that I want to be heard. I want to share my opinions with the world and show people that they need to pay attention to what is being done in their names all over the world. My only problem is that I picked the gaming community as the vessel of which to make my voice heard. I am currently transitioning my channel to a new audience.
