Why did you start making youtube videos

I used to do fan-made music video edits using webshows and video games. That was years ago.

Now I came back and decided to do gaming videos after watching many of them myself. Furthermore, I finally have a computer, equipment, and an environment suitable for the task.

On top of that, my friends suggested it would be cool, and I thought it would be fun. I was getting bored with my life anyway, and I figured this would be a nice way to spend some of my time while I think of more to do.

Also trying to increase my confidence, haha.

My friends can attest to the fact that I am definitely top 10 in the world for worst video game luck, ever. So naturally, they told me to start playing games I'm destined to fail at so they can watch me scream with various forms of emotion, haha.

I've wanted to make videos pretty much since I found YouTube years ago. I made/attempted so many videos, but never posted them. I'm a very shy, awkward person who keeps to myself a lot. I finally decided to make videos because I want to change that. I'm tired of being the shy awkward kid. I also don't have any real life friends, so I wanted to make videos to branch out to people who have the same interest as me.
That's pretty much my story as well. I watched some big British YouTubers for a while, and saw how they joined together to be great friends and help each other out with fun videos and just hanging out. I've always been the shy kid in the corner, and I have to stop that. I don't want fame (though I probably wouldn't say no!), but I did want to be a part of the community and force myself to be more confident.

I got into YouTube as a way to commemorate my 40th birthday. I did a "daily vlog" where I was counting down the 40 days until my 40th birthday, and each day I recalled some memory from my past (so 35 days from my 40th birthday, I recalled memories from when I was 35, and so on). It was a fun project and because of that, I decided to keep going. :)

To grow my brand name as a designer/visual artist before I go to college so that I have a better start into an entry level position.
