Why did my video get 1,000 views in less than 24 hours ?

So I posted a video last night very late about manga books . I hardly know anything about manga except for the 4 books I have . I saw another video on youtube with 900 manga books in the collection he was showing . Also , keep in mind this video is terrible quality as my webcam decided not to focus the whole time and I didn't get a chance to reset it . So anyway , I woke up this morning and the video had 600 views and now it has 1 , 000 . Why would this video have all these views when I hardly even put any effort into it . I didn't see many other manga videos I will admit , but I was basically just talking about the pictures in the book , showing them off , and being all cute . I had no idea what I was talking about . Why do certain videos get so many views , is there a special trick I should know ?

Random luck, I imagine. I've had similar thing happen to me.

This is purely random. I mean I started to livestream on twitch when Outlast came out on the PS 4 at the time I had 90 followers now I have 386 it's just luck for my channel to grow. When other channels out there doing the same thing as I'm but no viewers. Growing be it on YouTube or Twitch is a matter of luck. You can be very very skillful with editing and all the other parts in the timeline of a video but without some luck you won't grow.

Well it's not like anyone knows that it's terrible quality before viewing it, it probably has something to do with timing, your description and tags, and yeah luck maybe. I'm gonna check out the thumbnail. Hmmm.... not the most provocative thumbnail in the world but you've got cool glasses and there's a pink theme going on, perhaps this is sending the message you're a groovy chick who knows about manga. My best guess anyway.

In a couple of days, when the stats appear in analytics, you should look at the "traffic sources" section to see where the views came from. I'm guessing it's from "suggested videos" :)

Maybe somebody shared it. One of my videos had 30k views over its first couple days, most were embedded views. Check your analytics when they update.
