Why are you recording?

I love having an outlet to showcase work and knowing so many people can do the same. I've also found comfort in people online and I know they're a heavily influence for me as well as the fact that it's just something I really enjoy doing.
 
Mostly just because it seemed like a fun thing to do. But since people seem to be giving more serious reasons in this thread, part of my motivation was as a challenge to myself to see if I could make and upload a video without my perfectionism kicking in and making me think it was terrible and making me not want to upload it. And I succeeded (on the second try) and now it's easier to upload each new video!
 
I am doing this because I enjoy it, and feel a lot more confident behind a camera. I am also doing it because of my own experiences where my parents and teachers have basically told me that my lifetime goals are unattainable and I should focus on getting an education and a "normal job". Oh, how I love that phrase. :D

My plan with my channel is to show myself working towards and eventually achieving those goals to hopefully show others that they can do what they want to do, they just need to put the effort in and work on it.

Man I thought it was just me who was having issues like that. I mentioned how I dont plan to go to college and just do youtube and everyone but my dad has basically immediatly shot my plan down and told me to go to college or I will never have a good future.
But in the words of a wise man whose name I forget, "A man who loves his job never works a day in his life."
 
I do it because I love to entertain people and make them laugh, and by doing youtube videos I can entertain people all over the world. It's fun and I've seen people make careers out of it, so I thought one day, why not? And boom, I started ^-^

Nah, I know a couple of people with those issues. As long as you plan carefully, and you work hard towards achieving your goals, you can do it. The only enemy to any of your plans are yourself, your fear, your lack of determination. To succeed, you need to want success more than you want to party, more than you want to be cool and sometimes more than you want to sleep.

I blame society for their belief in how the world works, the same society that forgets this world is forged by those unreasonable few who break the rules, not laws, of society to achieve greatness.
 
For me i want to meet new people, record memories and watch how i change over the years and i missed out on recording so much i want to start now
 
Wow this was actually something I hadn't considered before. you made me get all think and stuff. I think its a creative outlet. a place to focus energy and something I really enjoy
