Why are my videos listed as "inappropriate"

My channel is basically where I host "flipped" curriculum for my AP math and computer science classes. So, I was alarmed to find some of my videos listed as "inapproprate." Lately, it's my last three videos on my "Fundamentals of CS 2015-16" playlist.

I've sent e-mails to account-appeal @ youtube.com and legal @ support.youtube.com to get some clarification on it, as our school blocks all videos deemed "[This video may be inappropriate]" Does anyone else know a better venue to get this addressed by YouTube?

Did you receive any email notifications from YT when the flags happened? Are there any links to respond/rectify it in that email?

If you upload the videos to private/unlisted, do you still see the flags? If not, is it worth it for you to delete those videos and their data, and reupload?

At the official YouTube channels there are TC (Top Contributes) who can escalate your problem directly to YouTube employees. I think you must try there.

No e-mail notifications. I noticed when a student was trying to access at school.. Confirmed at home on my son's YouTube account (where we restrict inappropriate videos.)

I think English is evil. To paraphrase a comedian in the news, "I had three years of English I in high school." but I understand the feelings. S'why I try to present in a variety of learning styles.
