Why are getting views on videos so hard!??!

What do the "Traffic sources" in Analytics say. Or is the audience retention of the 3 others significantly lower than for the first one?
They are quite similar. The first video got over 50% of it's views from "Unknown - direct" source. I have no clue where those were coming from.

ok, the mysterious direct. Too bad. It might mean that the video got shared a lot through messengers or email. Or maybe someone shared it in Teamspeak or something like that. But yeah...that one is hard to find out :(

Its very odd and very interesting :)

And I am not in this for money I dont have time to be in this for the money hahaha I just do it for the enjoyment of making the video and hopefully seeing other people enjoying my videos.

If you don't do it for the money, but only for the enjoyment of making the videos, then why are you posting this thread? I got 1.1K subscribers. My CarVlogs struggle to get above 100 views, but my Cars & Coffee videos get there easy. Why do I still do the vlogs? Because I like doing them. The views (or lack thereof) have no impact on what I do on YouTube. Stop caring about the numbers and start enjoying!

Just hang on to what you're doing! Views come time after time! :)
Thank you :)[DOUBLEPOST=1430317304,1430317279][/DOUBLEPOST]

Because maybe i want to get more views so more people view my videos and smile and enjoy them because that would make me smile. Cheesy i know but i just want a larger audience to engage with that enjoy my videos but as much i do have some loyal followers they are hard to get and i wondered how i could get more people to notice my videos and engage with my videos. I couldn't care less about money because then its not a hobby its becomes a job and i dont want that. How did you get more views on the cars and coffee out of interest? Luck? Or do you post in forums like these e.t.c? Just interested

Well I'm still looking for a sensible answer for that question too. The thing the puzzles me most is why some of my videos get a lot more views than others (for example my first GTA V video got 260 views and 3 others are getting only around 50) :)

I think usually your more popular vids are actually what people are searching for on regular basis.

I have been doing them for over a year. A lot of people that go there know of my videos. Hell, I posted a thread on a supra forum (the car I am currently drooling over) and one of the guys said he was following my cars and coffee videos. I do post them on local car forums and Facebook pages. But even when I didn't by experiment the video had 100 views in matter of hours! There are a lot of others that make C&C videos, and some of theirs do better than mine. But I don't care, it is one of the high points of the month, so I keep going no matter how shabby or good my videos do in comparison with others. Besides, I consider them friends rather than rivals. cars / angles I don't get they get, and vice versa! We're a team!

Money should come second hand.
If you are just in it for the money, there's a good chance you are not enjoying what you are doing.

Oh If I weren't enjoying what I am doing there is no way I would be well on my way to 200 videos on my main channel, and be a multiple channel owner.

This is very normal. If you have multiple videos on the same content then the first and maybe second / third video will have more views than the others. The reason for this is because people check out the video and if it's interesting to them then they continue to the next one, some do and some don't, which causes the earlier ones to have more views. The views you get past the first will always diminish until you are basically left with the dedicated viewers that are enjoying that specific content, plus a few extra. Hope that helps.
