Like if you agree what i am sayingI agree that if you are dedicated to your youtube work and no matter what network your partnered with one youtube you should always make daily backups of your videos. Why do you think cloud services and hard disks are available for use and so expandable??? Never no in the case of a disaster you can recover it and also keep it somewhere where only you can access the videos.
We actually don't bother. Most of our drive space is dominated by videos that we've shot and still need to edit. We have footage for over 500 episodes in reserve, so it takes up a crap load of drive space.
And... holy CRAP 500!? If you uploaded two videos a week you've got over two years of footage there! Congrats you can retire!![]()
We were at 575 videos in reserve as of Monday-not counting the 2 weeks (14 videos) we have uploaded/scheduled. We shot a lot of episodes on Monday and will do so again on Sunday so we should be close to 600. That's not even a year with our current 2 a day schedule. So there's still a long way to go before retirement.
When I get a few cheap externals I plan to back most of the finished videos upYou especially! That's a shitload of data to lose =/
