Who Agree's that you should always backup your youtube video content???

All of my rendered videos are saved on my PC. I usually don't keep the clips as they're usually quite large, unless it's necessary for future projects.

Like if you agree what i am saying:) I agree that if you are dedicated to your youtube work and no matter what network your partnered with one youtube you should always make daily backups of your videos. Why do you think cloud services and hard disks are available for use and so expandable??? Never no in the case of a disaster you can recover it and also keep it somewhere where only you can access the videos.

I still have all my project files, and the final export that's uploaded on an external drive should I ever need it, or any of the raw video etc.

I do not see the need for daily backups though. 1 copy of your video is fine. Its not data that changes daily, so why would you need daily backups of it?

We actually don't bother. Most of our drive space is dominated by videos that we've shot and still need to edit. We have footage for over 500 episodes in reserve, so it takes up a crap load of drive space.

This is my take on it, too. My footage isn't exactly something that will go down in history as an amazing piece of art lol, so I keep what I have on computer, but when it gets full I'll likely just delete it and make room for the newer stuff.

I think if I made sketches or films I'd make back ups. But then again SO much more work goes into that kind of thing.

And... holy CRAP 500!? If you uploaded two videos a week you've got over two years of footage there! Congrats you can retire! ;)

We were at 575 videos in reserve as of Monday-not counting the 2 weeks (14 videos) we have uploaded/scheduled. We shot a lot of episodes on Monday and will do so again on Sunday so we should be close to 600. That's not even a year with our current 2 a day schedule. So there's still a long way to go before retirement.

Ah two a day, that's fair enough then hahaha. If I had that many I could kick back for FIVE YEARS lmao.

I'm too lazy to do that. The download MP4 button is quite convenient and I trust that YouTube isn't gonna just take away that function or delete my videos or let their server crash...
