Hmm the first one really struck me at first..then I scrolled down, and now I'm liking the 2nd more. I think it stands out more and I like the blues.

Theres not as many red thumbnails on youtube so i think the first one is the best one

either one is fine the problem is your text needs to be readable take the opacity off add a stroke.
