Editing software might just make your life easier but if you think it's already making your life easy I'd go for the camera. This topic somehow made me think of myself, calculating how much I would earn and already thinking about what I was gonna buy next.

Unless you are making money off your videos I would invest in hardware over software. Hopefully some kind soul will PM you and walk you through how to obtain software on the internet... Just remember to purchase it once you do make money haha.

Yeah... After thinking about this a bit, I think getting a camera first would be best. That's the most important part of this whole YouTube thing, more so than editing.
