Which is the best editing software?

Hey everyone. So I upload gaming videos, comedy sketches vlogs etc and I use sony Vegas to edit them. But I feel that there is much better programs with easier tools and more of a variety and more appealing effects and edits to add to our videos. Can Yall help out and give me some names of editing programs that are preferred by youtubers? It'll be greatly appreciated :D
 
Final Cut Pro X - For the less experienced/starting out or those who just want basic software that does a decent job.

Final Cut Pro 7 or Premiere Pro CS6/CC - For those familiar with editing software and how to use it. Gives great results, used by most.

Avid - For those who really want to add some production value and do the best editing they can. Requires a lot of time to learn and a lot of patients. Also a powerful PC is recommended.

Final Cut Pro 7&X are obviously only for Mac OS X but Avid and Premiere Pro are for Windows and Mac. Hope this helped a little.
 
I've used AVID FCP7, Premier and FCPX. My go to suite is FCPX, it's streamlined and super quick to turn around a project. For something that needs really finicky editing I'll switch over to AVID (though it's not forgiving). If I'm doing heaps of VFX stuff I use Premier because it links nicely with After Effects and the rest of the Adobe suite. Though FCPX does this with Motion for more precise and VFX I'll go Adobe.
 
I use Movie Studio Platinum 12. It`s a really cheap and easy to use software but sony vegas is still good :)
 
Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas and Final Cut are all programs which are really easy to use yet very professional. I use Premiere myself since I bought the whole Creative Cloud.
