Which is a better overall recording option?

Hello!

Im going to record gameplay from my Xbox 360 with an Avermedia Live Gamer Portable. The games I mostly play are Call of Duty and most, if not all, Call of Dutys are at 60fps.

In order to get the best quality, would it be best to record in 720p60fps or 1080p30fps (Avermedia LGP does not record 1080p60fps, only up to 30fps)

Also, why is it a good option? (To learn more about framerates)

Thank you!

Hello!

Obviously, the 1080p option will provide you will optimal quality, however, the distance between 30-60fps is quite great. Despite this, i don't believe someone would be able to clearly see the difference while watching it on YouTube. YouTube down scales the videos anyway, so making sure that you upload them in the best quality possible, in your case 1080p would come out better for people watching it.

Regarding frame rates, aslong as there is no jumpy frames or lag when recording at 30fps, I don't think it will make much of a difference, so I would personally go for the 1080p option.

Hope this helps!

But isint YouTube about to support 60FPS? Id post a link but i guess im not allowed to

By the way, this is a video project im working on that doesnt have a release date nearby, long way to go. Im assuming YouTube will have already rolled out 60FPS to everyone by then.

In this case, wouldnt it be better to be recording at 720p 60FPS to show its true quality or it still wont matter? Btw, watched the Battlefield Hardline trailer in 60FPS and I feel like I can see that difference.
