Which editing software do you use?

Ok I suppose I wasn't totally clear but I'm comparing like offerings of Sony Movie Studio Platinum and Premiere Elements (both $100 when I checked).
Even now googling on the subject suggests that Elements 11 does not support CUDA, but I'm not finding a clear answer.

Hey,

As I am a hardcore edit (I edit to screamo, metal etc.) I need to add a lot of effects to my edits e.g. Colour Correction, Twixtor, Twitch sometimes etc. Because I have to add a lot of effects I find Adobe After Effects CS6 the best for what I need to do (although it does crash quite a lot). I know some very good editors that ONLY use Sony Vegas, but to me Sony Vegas wasn't good enough for what I wanted to do. I only use Sony Vegas to render out my edits into an mp4 file so it is still good quality but isn't as big of a filesize as avi.

aha, I remember using pinnicalse studio 8 when I was like 8-9 years old xD Probably younger :) Ah, the little filmmaker I was... Now I'm just a stupid old gamer, who is 15, so young.. But old to a 8-9 year old or younger...
You're a old dude now...15 and all! We should all chip in and get you a rocker, after we get me some real publishing software. j/k :)

There are TONS of tutorials on Sony Vegas 12. That's what I use for all the videos that aren't just gameplay footage + commentary. (I use it for facecam, text overlays, etc) I had zero knowledge of it too, until I started browsing YouTube for help, and let me tell you, it's like a Sony Vegas noob's dream!

Premiere Elements will be more than enough for nearly every youtuber.

I use Premiere Pro but that's because student pricing is awesome. :p
