YESS!!! It doesn't matter how good of a camera you have, with bad lighting any video will look bad. It doesn't matter if you just use natural sunlight, a desk lamp, etc just try to get as much light as you can on whatever you are filming .

Exactly as the two people above me said, you would not believe the difference it makes. I would recommend however investing in some white softbox lights of eBay or amazon, I use them and it makes my videos look a lot better

Experiment with the lights are already have, I'd try both but also remember to invest in better audio (Lavalier if on cam, condenser mic if off cam or a dynamic mic which would be cheaper) your viewer is more likely going to notice bad audio before a bad camera and as Stike said check out the softbox lights if you really want great quality and have the cash.
