Me and Reddit have a complex relationship. I pretty much only use my Reddit account to promote my videos. I do not call my marketing on reddit spam, I target it to specific subreddits that I beleive have users that would see value in my content. I can usually get between 50-500+ views from reddit but it is very hit and miss depending on content. I have been banned from a few subreddits but the way I see it since I only use my reddit for sharing my content I could care less if I get banned from a subreddit that doesn't support my goals.
Another method is using fiverr to pay people cheaply to promote your videos/channel/whatever I would generally not recommend this as while they may have a huge exposure your content will be buried by other people who paid for the same thing you did.
