Where to go from here...

So it's taken a bit of courage to write this post but I just wondered whether anybody had any advice about growing my channel.

I make beauty and lifestyle videos and I guess I'm in a really saturated market. I follow all the advice on here; I comment on others, tag my videos, social share and post my videos on my blog. I'm not quite sure what to do next... am I missing something big that I should be doing. I guess if I'm not it's my content (which makes me sob a bit inside.)

Anyway, any advice would be appreciated. (I'm ready for the honesty!!)

You've been going for a year and you already have 2000 subs. That's nothing to be ashamed of. A lot of people go multiple years without getting even a single thousand subs.

If you're doing all the marketing, then it's just a matter of making great content that gets people to subscribe to your channel. Then they will come back for the next one, and new viewers will also see the next one and hopefully subscribe, and you will grow organically like that. So to make sure you're making good content, feedback from your viewers is key. If you have a high view to comment/like ratio, that could mean people are clicking away from your stuff before seeing all of it so that's one indication that you might need to look into what needs fixing. If you're getting a fair amount of likes and comments, though, then you just have to be patient and keep doing what you're doing.

Have you tried a collab? Another idea.. that might set you apart, what if you brought in someone and gave them a make over from make up to clothes to hair do a series, probably would have to be a friend but it is just a thought..
Good idea try contacting beauty channels similar to your size and make 2 collab videos and put one on each video, then you will get people check you out from here subs and you will both gain subs and views :)

Yeah, a collab with a well-known female uk Ytuber. You do her make-up etc and she uploads the vid on her channel and tells her subs to check you out.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I thought that 2000 over 2 years was a low number (I guess I'm comparing myself to others, which I know is wrong but difficult not to do) I guess by comparing I've frustrated myself into thinking my stats are rubbish. It's a bit disheartening that I see people starting channels after me and getting way more subscribers/views. but I guess that is life and I should just concentrate on my own channel rather than others.[DOUBLEPOST=1383516005,1383515962][/DOUBLEPOST]
