Where is best

Hey guys just wondering where are the best places to advertise your channel and make it grow? Sorry if this has been posted a million times but I can't find other posts on it and my computer is being amazingly slow at scrolling haha.

I have seen a few things on ebay where they say they will advertise your videos and channel on their facebook page which has 10,000 likes or what ever, has anyone done this? Does it work? Just wondering where is a decent place to advertise. Anyone got any ideas? I'm willing to pay a small amount aswell if that helps with ideas!? hmmmmm. I hope this makes sense, I'm so over tired lol

Well (i) personally think it is best to interact with your audience do a fan Friday thing or something.
It is not guaranteed to get you subscribers but for your excising ones they shall want to stick around :)

And as for newcomers if they see that they may stick around too.
 
lol I'm considering it but I dunno if i'm ready to have over 500 friends/family/people from years ago/old managers etc watching my videos haha! At one point I'm sure I will![DOUBLEPOST=1371746417,1371746387][/DOUBLEPOST]

i personally have never advertised on a site. also, that ebay thing seems a little sketchy. It sounds just like the ads that roll on the side of this forum.

I find that the best way is to post on social media sites as well as on forums like this. I don't think it'll be effective to make an ad on their facebook page because, let's face it, when was the last time anyone wanted to click an ad on fb

yeah I did think it sounded a bit dodge to be fair! And it costs around £20 so it's a it much really!
 
I was waiting for a massive spam of comments going 'Right here on YTtalk'. Don't get me wrong, the community here is great but the forums aren't really used for promotion and are for getting to know other creators are gaining the knowledge to grow. Facebook, Twitter and other Social Media outlets would be the best way to go in my opinion. :)
 
The best thing is actually to share your video among your friends and then ask them to share it to others and the hope that they'll share it even further.

When it comes to youtube mouth to mouth marketing is the best and most effective.

When it come to social media I'd say Twitter. It's easier to get followers on Twitter than followers on Facebook.
