I know there had been a thread to this but I cant find it..sorry..

Anyway, Im wondering where I could Advertise/Promote my YouTube channel/videos.
I know that reddit hates promoting and stuff, and I also tried FunnyJunk.com, but the people there were a bit mean and doesnt really watch the videos, all they do is just hit the thumbs down button which really sucks! :/

go to a crowded place and annoy people till they give up and then you force them to watch your videos
Easy!

I promote on my facebook fan page, twitter, and this site called empireavenue.com. Empire Avenue is a social media "stock market" designed for promotion.

Well I would say the two best are facebook and twitter if you don't mind friends and family knowing about your channel. Otherwise random sites I'm on I advertise on like Netlog where I don't actually know anyone personally! Also there are other youtube places like this, but they are just for advertising, however they are pretty dead to be honest! Also if you are willing to pay, someone on ebay has a facebook group with over 290,000 likes and they will post your channel on their group for you to make more traffic come to your channel, although that could be risky as it costs actual money and might not actually gain you any subscribers! Other than that I'm not sure!

Never pay anyone for views and/or ratings because youtube will ban your adsense and suspend your channel in a heartbeat. When you lose adsense you lose it forever.[DOUBLEPOST=1371828188,1371827879][/DOUBLEPOST]BTW, facebook is boring! - I have another youtube channel that I have 23K subscribers and close to 3 million views as of today and I associated a facebook fan page for that channel years ago. Every time I upload a new video I share it on facebook. Problem is, people on facebook watch the videos on facebook and almost never come over to youtube to check out the channel. FB might be good for views but not subscribers if you ask me. Another thing to keep in mind about facebook, a monetized video hardly ever shows ads when viewed through facebook. I got so very bored with facebook.

Facebook has been working for me recently. I took a page out of KGATV and released a video as unlisted on my page for 24 hours, kinda as a sneak peek for fans and that generated a few shares.
