Facebook is my best method. I go to relevant pages (dog pages, gopro pages). I use other sites as well depending on the video... One that I post on sometimes is Facepunch.com, but trust me you don't want to post there unless it's something really good or they will destroy you for self promotion. I always warn people because I've had people run back to this forum with their tail between their legs asking how to remove a post lol. Tumblr is an ok place, I have one dog page that normally publishes my submissions and it generates about 500+ views per video.
 
I usually post my videos on reddit such as reddit.com/r/videos and reddit.com/r/youtubers
Doesn't get many views from it but it's still a good "non spam" option :)
 
I use reddit, which is extremely effective. And Facebook groups related to your niche are great as well.

A variety of ways, I have a dedicated twitter and Facebook page for my youtube (and an instagram I don't use), the of course there's telling friends and family, and lastly there's YTtalk! One great way to get people to have a look at your channel/videos is to be active on YTtalk! I click nearly every person's channel link when I see them and have subscribed and viewed loads of videos! So all of those points will help you out :D

Ok I may have mis-worded that. They normally get around 500+ "notes", which is either a like or a share. I see that some people like and share, so those two notes may only come from one view. Here's one example; as I always say, experiment to see what works
