Where do you find Sponsors?

I've Got It
Not networks but sponsors.

For example you see channels that'll have a little message at the beginning or the end of a video and it'll be like "Go to Netflix.com/reallyawesomedudewithayoutubechannel to get your free 30 day trial"

or even the channels that get sent an item just so they can review it or show it off.

Where do you get all that? Do you.... just go to a company website and hit "contact us" and tell them you want them to sponsor you? I know if you're good enough these people will come to you, but what if I want to find them? What's the protocol?

Many things like that are normally listed under "Affiliate programmes". If you google some companies with that term, then you'll find some. It's not so much that they're sponsoring you in that sense, but it's more that they are "brought to you thanks to" if that makes sense? They won't pay you upfront, but you'll receive some money for each.

Otherwise there are websites such as Famebit which allows you to do specific sponsored videos. You just send a proposal and how much you'd want for doing it, and they'll reply if they want to choose your channel.

By all means, you could also try contacting them, but it would most likely be smaller companies.

I just recently start the aff program with amazon but i dont have much hope for it. I have a feeling the sponsors u just have to wait for them.

I did kind of wonder this because I've seen some gaming channels start their videos with a promotion for an online store or something (w/discount code). Don't want to anything like that myself, but I'm curious too. Sorry I don't have the answer! Also love the Bruce Lee quote in your sig btw.

Websites like Famebit and Grapevine. But you need like a thousand subs to sign up for Fame and an average of a couple thousand views for Grape. Small youtubers shouldn't even hope for a sponsorship but I guess you could still try. But the sponsors start rolling in without trying when you have 100k+ subs.

If youre content is really good and they see that you have a steady fanbase, companies will come to you naturally because its a way for them to make more money. :D
