A complete mistake!
I have seen a lot of people that has this issues where they'd ask themselves "I'm posting videos on my channel but, where are the views and subs?" Well, if you're just starting out and been there for about less than 2 months then, shut up. You need sometime to get them... This is coming from a guy who loves uploading on YouTube for 2 years!
I've had my fare share of mistakes done on uploads. Bad Commentaries/Editing and promoting and etc... Then, I fixed my mistakes gradually since last year and started to actually post better videos. Now, why am I telling you this? Look at your favorite "YouTuber" and check their content. Not Personality, uploading consistency or anything... Just their content. See how good the quality is. The subtle changes in different clips and how the audio feels natural and everything just seems to be smooth. Now, go back to your clip. Do you see those subtle changes. That clip looking smooth when Transitioning to another clip. Does the audio feels natural to listen to? If so, then wait 'till the next paragraph to tell you what to do. If not. Then, there's your mistake. You can't just say that you want to make YouTube videos and just roll with it...! You have to really put your time into every video. I put about 6-12hrs. on each video of my own. You have to really try to look at your video from a viewer perspective and that's why I ask you to compare your videos with your favorite "YouTuber" because, your just a viewer there not a producer.
Now, once you've figured that out and you've been posting good videos for more than 2 months and still getting nothing. Well, you're in my spot. You're sort of stuck. The best thing to do is telling people about your channel. not a peoples person? Do it online. Here. on social networks. Other forums. E-mailing your siblings. It doesn't matter tell people who you are and what you do. Don't be a spammer. I'm not asking you to be that. There's a fine thin line between promoting your channel and spamming. Promoting is telling people about your channel. Spamming is leaving texts telling people that you have a channel. The difference is no body gives a f**k about a spammer and he'll probably be banned. So, how do you tell people about your channel. You go to relevant gamers that plays the same games as you do or vlogs about the same subjects that you post. You talk to them directly via E-mail or private messaging about your channel. You can also, go to relevant threads and whenever someone asks or thread is allowing you to post your channel videos there then, do it. Basically don't intrude. Just f*****g post by invitation to post.
Lastly, Don't do it for views or the subs. I do it for the appreciation. Someone might appreciate my videos. I'd rather have a comment than a sub any day! YouTube isn't a f*****g business! It's a f*****g pleasure. So, make it a pleasure for others to watch your videos and respect you enough to Subscribe. But, at the end of the day... Will they watch? That's something you and I can't answer...
