When YouTubers Troll Their Critics

I'm sure everyone here has disliked a video and provided criticism to the content creator. Criticism is very good as it helps us grow in areas that need improvement. We weed through the useful and illegitimate criticisms to see what is best to listen to and follow up on.

I rarely criticize Youtubers because I mainly watch my favorite channels as I regularly enjoy their content. However, I do criticize and sometimes unsubscribe to channels when they unexpectedly cross the line or I stumbled upon a new (new to me) Youtuber's video. One would expect the viewers to be the trolls, but that is not always the case. Sometimes Youtubers are the trolls. Earlier this year I unsubscribed to two channels that were my favorite channels. Both guys worked together and allowed the other to post a guest upload. The title called the Youtubers' subscribers the N word and I took offense to it. If you want to call yourself the N word then that's fine, but calling your subscribers the N word is extremely stupid as not everyone is going to be down with that.

A few minutes ago another YouTuber became extremely upset with me. His video was a game review on one of my favorite games and he didn't know who the main character was. He believed the character was someone else and well I corrected him. That didn't go over so well because I'm 10th person who corrected him as he believes my responsibility is to read every comment.

Lol when you're involved in a community it is hard not to get caught up in the drama. A lot of times that can ruin your experience I try not to entertain the drama

It good sometimes for youtubers to troll their critics, for example, when they do these 'mean comments' videos. ComedyShortsGamer did one not too long ago - they basically troll the people trying to troll them, its good fun, but when they take it too far, like your case, over nothing, thats not cool.

YouTube is a business, its the hard truth that we cant share our art without getting pushed up the food chain by drama, criticism is good, but unfortunately people thrive on conflict and that's one of the ways a friend of mine came up. kind of a random post but yeah

I love those! But then it's clear that the YouTuber is making fun of trolls/haters.

It's another thing when they go against regular people who may even be devoted viewers, just because they can't handle any kind of criticism. It's the people with low self-esteem who can't deal with making mistakes so instead they go against whoever points them out.

I feel if you can't handle criticism you shouldn't be on YouTube uploading content for the world to see whether you ask for their input or not they will tell you because YouTube is a public platform. It's naive to believe you're not going to have someone say they don't like what you have uploaded but for all the bad there will be good too

Great minds think alike lol I was surprised no one said it sooner honestly. People sometimes think that their channel is a safe zone but it gets real when you have a random troll after you lol we've all been there
