When Will You Consider Yourself Successful?

Don't measure yourself by your sub number, or your viewcount.

Many like to measure their success by presenting slices in time where a video became popular, or by showing their subscriber and viewcount. In my opinion, this way of thinking is completely wrong and will only lead you to failure. Success isn't an achievement that once obtained remains indefinitely, it is something that exists temporally and that must be carefully maintained once had. I believe success is measured in consistent activity, interaction, and growth. Growth is probably the most difficult though that all will struggle with, as it isn't something we can't entirely control. Excellent content is useless without eyes to see it, cutting through the layers of lesser content above you to get the viewer to see you is something that is half luck and half effort.

I'm pretty sure once you can make a living with YouTube you can call yourself successful.

While I would love to be able to just say a sub count or view number I'd consider it a success if in a few years I can look back at all the videos I made and say "I had fun making them and people still watch them".
Of course it would be great to earn tons of money but in the end you probably always want more and more then.

In a way, I could maybe meet in the middle and say I would call it a success if I could freely choose wherever I want to live & work because of YouTube. Because that freedom would also make me very happy.

I wouldn't say specifically what number but I guess I think success to me means that people enjoy my content

I think I'd consider my channel successful when there is substantial subscriber/views growth after each video is posted. Also, I'm hoping my skill level increases with each new video enough to enhance my chances of building my portfolio and career in the film industry.

I'm growing, so I consider that a success. My next goal for success is to be able to quit my day job, haha. Very far off though.

When I've got a consistent fan base who come back for every video I post. It doesn't have to be large amount of people, they just have to keep coming back for more.

When I consider myself succesful is actually when I notice that my videos will get 301+ views the same day I uploaded it. That would be so cool! I don't really care about subscriber count or anything, views matter!
