When Will Natural Growth Occur?

My method of gaining subscribers is to spam people. WAIT! Before you write a paragraph about how it's bad or I'm stealing other peoples subscribers, understand that it works extremely well and has gotten me some amazing loyal subscribers.

Continuing with the question. I have accumulated 1662 subscribers in the past 2.5 months and I have a feeling very few of those actually found me naturally. I know a bunch of people came from "suggested channel" but other than that, nothing from search. Then again, people don't really search for vlog titles, because they are usually just one word..

I was just wondering how far should I go on YouTube with spamming before I stop (as in how many subscribers will allow me to have a nice natural growth). Before you say "NOW" take a look at this situation through my eyes. I have achieved great success through spamming, and I feel 1.6k is too low to grow naturally.

What is your channel? I am curious... So you have 1662 subs.. how many views do you generate on each video? I think Natural growth occurs all the time. I have never spammed . When we started I told one friend and he told his friends so we have slowly grown. Natural growth will always take more time. But if your subs are as loyal as you say then they should be telling friends about you.

One way to grow, is to actually look on Twitter for trending topics, and make a video on it. Then all you have to do is use the relevant hashtags to get views. This doesn't work for everything, and it also doesn't grow your channel unless your views get into the thousands. But the more of these you make, then the more people you will get.

I found this out today, when I made a quick video on a incident that occurred in a livestream. It grew to about 100 views in a minute. Till now it is at this -

So basically, if you can make current videos of news storys, mixed in with normal content, then you can do this quite well and grow from it. But I can't really tell if this would help you as I dont know your channel

Its great that people didn't already know this, I thought other people knew this!

But it also has the problem of getting lots of hate if it isn't relevant. So make sure the content is similar to the hashtag, if you do all that, and the video is good, then you do well out of it!

Me too! I've heard of a lot of people getting increased popularity for vlogging about trending topics. Twitter is a great place to find ideas, and you get the added bonus of attaching a trending hashtag to direct people to your video. Genius.

Hi there!

Most of my subs on my vlogging channel have come from one of two sources.
1. Social networks such as Facebook, twitter, yttalk (yes I consider this a social network) and reddit.
2. Hanging out with people I met when I first got started with youtube. Their friends meet me, find out I'm on youtube, watch my stuff, and subscribe.

Having been 'out of the game' for a while means my subscribers on my vlogging channels have either dropped, stalled, or not grown but by one or two a month. It's a slow and painful process but I'm not the most interesting woman in the world and I've not been very social lately. I'm not as serious about my vlogging channel, either. It's for fun, not for profit (even though it is monitized).
